On the Airplane
These screens on the airplane helped to keep the passengers informed as to where we were in our journey. This was on the way to Japan, and you can see the plane approaching the International Date Line.

Western Style Toilets
This is what the Japanese call a "Western Style" toilet. Some of these were very
high-tech with a variety of buttons for various options and heated seats.

Japanese Style Toilets
This is what the Japanese call a "Japanese Style" toilet. Yes, the idea is to stand over it and squat. This is not just for the gentlemen. Ladies, these are for you, too. I never really understood how the Western style could be so high-tech, and these could be so low-tech.

Students Cleaning
The schools do not employ custodians. The students are responsible for all the cleaning. Yes, this includes mopping and cleaning the toilets. The kids don't complain. This is something that they're used to doing.
