Aruba is a small island off the northern coast of South America. It has a desert climate. The southern coast of the island is home to very peaceful waters, but the northern coast has rough waves. A strong wind blows constantly, and the temperature averages in the 80's year-round. Aruba is just 700 miles north of the Equator. |

![]() The water in Aruba was a beautiful blue, and it was warm, too. Swimming in it was like soaking in a warm bath. |
![]() On our snorkeling trip, we got to dive around a sunken WWII German ship. The captain of the ship had sunk it instead of allowing it to be captured. |

![]() The ship had been underwater for so long that it was rusty and coral was also growing on it. |
![]() These are the Ayo Rock formations. No one can explain how they were formed. A path has been laid so that visitors can climb inside and all around. It was fun to explore them. |
